The Fetal & Women's Center of Arizona serves the women and future parents of Arizona.  Our goal is to provide the best possible service, using the best equipment and technology available, performed by highly skilled sonographers and interpreted by leading physicians in their field.  Although we specialize in high risk and complicated "level 2" patients, we equally welcome all low risk patients without known risk factors.  Examinations are performed in a warm, caring, and friendly patient-oriented atmosphere.  The Center is directed by David A Nyberg, MD.  The centers are also staffed by highly-trained specialists.  Meet our physicians and genetic counselors.

The Fetal and Women's Center promotes education of physicians and patients related to screening options for birth defects including Down syndrome.  Nuchal translucency screening and second trimester genetic sonograms are offered, in addition to 3D/4D ultrasounds and other services.  For additional information on screening, see fetalscreening.com.

"We came to the Fetal and Women's Center after receiving devastating news of a brain abnormality (Dandy Walker variant) based on other ultrasounds. Fortunately, Dr. Nyberg was able to make the correct diagnosis of a Blake's pouch cyst which allowed us to make the right decisions. We are now the proud parents of a healthy little girl. We feel very fortunate to have him in Arizona and to have benefited from his clinical knowledge and expertise. We highly recommend the Fetal and Women's center to all patients and obstetricians. "I just wanted to thank you and how you helped us with our pregnancy. I can’t thank you enough and tell all my friends to come see you. We just didn't know anything about birth defects before and didn't realize that every pregnancy is at risk. We went to everyone else in the city and they couldn't give us a diagnosis so I had a difficult time accepting they were telling me that my baby wouldn't make it. I came to you and you took the time to talk to us and research it and found this was an unusual presentation of infantile polycystic kidney disease. Having a diagnosis helped us accept it, be prepared, and grieve appropriately when our baby was born." -- Cheyenne Smith
